Steak Sauce Tacos
1 pound (450 g) ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium clove garlic, minced
3 T (45 ml) steak sauce
8 oz (224 g) tomato sauce
2 teaspoons (10 ml) chili powder
1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt
10 taco shells
Shredded Cheddar cheese
Diced tomatoes
Shredded lettuce
Salsa
In skillet, cook meat, onion and garlic; drain. Stir in steak sauce, tomato sauce, chili powder and salt. Simmer uncovered 10
minutes, stirring occasionally. Spoon mixture into taco shells.
Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 F (180 C) 5 minutes. Garnish
with shredded cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and salsa, if desired.
Makes 10 tacos.
NOTE: For crisper tacos, heat empty shells for 5 minutes then add
meat and remaining filling ingredients.
